Oma at the West Bend Grotto
We stopped on our way to the Black Hills in South Dakota at the grotto in West Bend Iowa. The grotto was build by a German priest. He collected stones and minerals from all over the world. More information about the grotto can be found at westbendgrotto.com. |

Of course Oskar has to stick his fingers into everything. |

Oskar enjoying the sight
All together there are nine grottos and a lot of other things covered with stones and minerals. Pretty impressive for rural Iowa |

Sioux Falls
For the longest time I (Papa) didn't know that Sioux Falls actually had water falls even though I lived in South Dakota for a while. Now I finally got to see them. |

Sioux Falls
The falls might not be the grandest they are quite charming especially with the park that was build around it. |
