Hollywood from Freeway This picture was taken after we arrived at the Los Angeles airport and are heading with Jason (Melissa's brother) to Sacramento. The Rental Car Claus is showing off the rental car. It was nice to have a little better car for our trip through the Sierra Nevada mountains when we went skiing. Darcie and Melissa (Melissa's brother's sisters in law) We celebrated Christmas with Jason's (Melissa's brother) family in law, just 4 days before he and Kelly got married. Craig, Diane, Chelsea and Kelly Craig and Diane are Jason's (Melissa's brother) parents in law. Chelsea and Kelly are two of their four daughters. Oh yeah, Kelly is now Jason's wife. Jim at Pier 39 in San Francisco Somehow this picture got to be actually interesting while it wasn't planned that way. The background is nice and fuzzy while Melissa's dad can be seen crisply while he is enjoying his ice cream. Ice cream delight I just had to include this picture of Judy and Melissa enjoying their ice cream on pier 39 in San Francisco. Timing is all. ;) Cable Car in San Francisco The first part of the cable car ride was all uphill. Here the driver of the cable car filles the sand box. The sand is needed for breadking as the second half of our trip goes some steep hills down. The cable car ride is defiently something one has to do, and the best place is to hang on the outside of the car at the front like Melissa is doing here in her yellow jacket. Alcatraz One of the biggest attractions in San Francisco is of course Alcatraz. So we like thousands of other turists toured the island and prison. Cable Car in San Francisco Melissa and her dad Jim hang onto the cable car, while her mom sits on the bench by Melissa. We rode like that through San Francisco.
